Before the roar of engines echoes through Cesky Krumlov and its surroundings as part of the traditional rally, the twelfth edition of the Czech New Energies Rallye will take place on March 15 and 16. Quieter and more ecological, but no less thrilling, the races will once again reveal the possibilities of ecological racing and sustainable mobility.
There is a lot at stake in Cesky Krumlov
In 2012, electric vehicle races were included for the first time as part of the accompanying programme of Rallye Cesky Krumlov. But they have long since ceased to be just an entertaining showcase of innovations and modern technologies where nothing is at stake.
Since 2016, the Czech New Energies Rallye has been an integral part of the FIA World Cup. A potential success or failure can therefore shake up the standings of the crews.
We support the Czech crew
We have been following the World Cup for a long time. On behalf of MyBox, we support the Czech crew of Michal Zdarsky and Jakub Nabelek, who won the entire FIA ecoRally Cup last year. We believe they will succeed again, and we will of course be keeping our fingers crossed for them in Cesky Krumlov as well.
A European competition for series-produced electric vehicles. It is intended for vehicles with electric drive that have valid documents for operation on public roads, without any modifications. Prototypes are also permitted, provided they are intended for everyday use and have EU road homologation.
The evaluation is based on regularity and driving at set average speeds in prescribed sections, as well as consumption, vehicle efficiency, or overall crew performance. In 2023, the cup was won by the crew Zdarsky-Nabelek with a Hyundai KONA Electric.
Charging infrastructure - reliability comes first
At this year's ecoRally in Cesky Krumlov, we will be present with our MyBox charging stations. Not only will we support the Czech crew, but we will also provide the complete infrastructure for charging all racing vehicles. Since we are taking on this task for the umpteenth time (read the report from last year), we are prepared for demanding conditions and various scenarios. We will ensure that charging is reliable and all crews have as much energy as they need.
For charging electric vehicles at the ecoRally in Cesky Krumlov, we are preparing not only the proven MyBox Profi stations, but also the brand new MyBox Mini. These will save a lot of space in the service area and make operation and handling easier. All while maintaining maximum performance and the ability to connect a larger number of stations.
Vehicle charging: In the courtyard of a renovated brewery
The first stage of the Krumlov ecoRally will start on Friday at the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant, with the finish at the complex near the renovated Schwarzenberg brewery building. It is in its courtyard that participants will charge their racing vehicles throughout the entire competition. The final destination of the Saturday (second) stage will be Svornosti Square. The winners will be announced in the evening at the new Port 1560 cultural and social centre.
Come and see an event that showcases a unique combination of motorsport, technology, and an ecological approach to mobility. And if you want to see MyBox charging stations at full strength and maximum deployment, stop by and visit us.
Check out the photos from last year's successful edition. And come along - we would love to see you.
