The First Edition of EcoRallye Beskydy Attracted the Elite
The first edition of EcoRallye Beskydy, held on 9 and 10 August 2024, became the fourth event of the CEZ Czech Republic Eco Rally Championship. This race, taking place in the picturesque setting of the Beskydy Mountains, brought not only demanding routes but also attractive competitive experiences for participants and spectators alike. The 368 km long route included 13 timed stages that crews had to complete over two days. The difficulty of the race was highlighted by the Friday night stages, which demanded maximum concentration, especially on navigation.
Charging Infrastructure by MyBox
In cooperation with the CEZ Group, we provided the race with charging infrastructure that ensured the smooth running of the entire event. The MyBox Mini and MyBox Profi charging stations ensured reliable and fast charging for all competing electric vehicles, contributing to the successful outcome of the race.
Zdarsky and Nabelek Dominate, Peugeot Wins Among Brands
The winner of the premiere race was the crew of Michal Zdarsky and Jakub Nabelek with a Hyundai Kona Electric, who also lead the Bridgestone FIA ecoRally Cup world championship. Their flawless performance also brought victory in the regularity and consumption categories. Michal Zdarsky praised the well-chosen route and expressed his joy at the victory, which brought them closer to winning the domestic title.
In the brand classification, Team Peugeot CZ dominated, taking top positions thanks to the performances of crews with Peugeot e-2008 and e-208 cars. Driver Lucie Kudrnovska was thrilled with both the results and the organisation of the competition, calling Eco Rallye Beskydy the best event.
Successes and Further Categories
Eco Rallye Beskydy also offered competition in other categories. In the PHOENIX CONTACT Czech Trophy, the crew of Zdarsky and Nabelek won again, followed by Team Peugeot and their fleet of e-vehicles. In the PHOENIX CONTACT consumption classification, Peugeot took two places on the podium.
Next Steps in EcoRallye
The race in the Beskydy Mountains also brought victory for Peugeot in the Czech Trophy, thereby strengthening the team's lead in the championship. The next event will be the 3rd Agrotec ECO Rally Hustopece at the end of August 2024, where points for the overall classification will again be collected.
EcoRallye Beskydy has thus confirmed its importance in the EcoRallye calendar and promises to be among the prestigious races of this championship in future editions.
